Mark Hackel's Gun Swiped From His Car

Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel's gun was stolen from his locked car outside his Macomb Township home, WDIV reports.

Hackel, the former county sheriff, tells WDIV his vehicle was broken into about 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning in the area of 25 Mile and Romeo Plank.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office tells WDIV at least one other resident in the area was victimized.

Deputies are reviewing surveillance video. The thief was wearing a hoodie.
