Down by six to the Cowboys, with a minute left to go and no time outs left, it looked like the Lions would head into their bye week with a 4-4 record.

Then, on second and ten from deep in the Lions zone, Stafford threw what may have been the finest pass in his career to Kris Durham at the Dallas 23 yard line.

After downing the ball for time, Stafford then threw what may have been the second finest pass of his career to Calvin Johnson at the one yard line.

With just fifteen seconds to play, the Lions lined up to down the ball once more on first and goal. Except they didn't. Instead, Stafford dove over the line to score a game-tying touchdown. The extra point put the Lions ahead with twelve seconds left to play.

A kick-off and Dallas' unsuccessful desperation lateral play later, the Lions had won.

Stafford was 33-for-48 for 488 yards. Calvin Johnson recorded the second-most receiving yards in a single game in NFL history, with 329 yards on 14 receptions.

The Lions are 5-3, halfway through the regular season.
