As Margaret Mead once said: Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. That quote has inspired--and deluded--so many would-be world-changers over the years. Today, at 5:30 PM, one of those "small groups of committed people" will descend upon Campus Martius to demand the reversal of a grave injustice--the incarceration of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick for crimes he was convicted of, by a jury of his peers, in a court of law.
We like to say that in America everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but then what? Are they no longer innocent once their guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt? Well, yes, that's how it works. But these legal technicalities are beside the point.
The point is the Mayor Kwame Prayer Power Rally Force will use their power of prayer to rally for Kilpatrick's release. Today. In Campus Martius. This Facebook message will explain everything.

The rally, according to this "Mayor Kwame" Facebook page, will be lead by a one Captain Protest. That makes sense because, as everyone knows, Lt. Col. Demonstration helping Major Gen. Assembly with an out-of-town people's gathering.
They could have easily let Staff Sgt. Meeting organize this rally, but they knew it required an officer's touch. With a high-ranking activist corps officer such as Captain Protest running the show, it's hard to imagine that Kwame will be in prison much past Sunday's Lions-Redskins kick-off.
