Longtime local ad agency Campbell Ewald is now Lowe Campbell Ewald.
"Following the successful collaboration that led to the recent win of Cadillac, Campbell Ewald will join Lowe, serving as the U.S. hub for the Lowe and Partners Worldwide network, and will be renamed Lowe Campbell Ewald," says a press release from the now-former C-E.
The new arrangement also means a leadership shakeup. A new CEO, Jim Palmer, replaces Bill Ludwig.
"We saw the power of this combination in the Cadillac win, as well as on other recent international client work," said Michael Roth, Chairman of Interpublic, Lowe Campbell Ewald's parent company. "Jim and his leadership team are highly supportive of this new relationship as they can continue delivering high-quality, full-service marketing to existing U.S. clients, with access to new global talent and distribution channels."
Campbell Ewald was founded in Detroit in 1911 by Frank Campbell and Henry Ewald. The company had been based in Warren since the 1970s and recently announced it was moving back downtown.
In addition to Cadillac, C-E's clients include the U.S. Navy, AT&T, Consumer's Energy, ZipCar and MotorCity Casino.
