I-94 shooting critically wounds Metro Detroit car passenger

A car passenger was shot and critically wounded on I-94 in Taylor around 2 a.m. Friday, promping the Michigan State Police to shut the westbound lanes around Telegraph Road until 6 a.m.

The shooter was in a pickup with several people, the agency said. The driver of the vehicle with the victim was not hurt. 

The victim had surgery Friday morning.
