Brandon Putman, 31, of Pigeon in Huron County, is a star on the TLC reality show, “Meet the Putmans."
On Thursday, he was in U.S. District Court on charges of illegally possessing a machine gun in a case involving undercover federal agents and an AR-15 rifle, Robert Snell of The Detroit News reports. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
Specifically, Putman, 31, faces two federal gun charges after being accused of trying to obtain copies of a component that would help convert AR-15 rifles into fully automatic machine guns.
The father of five stars with three generations of relatives living under one roof.
The News was unable to obtain comment from Putman or his court-appointed attorney.
