While the number of Michigan Covid cases has declined in the past several weeks, the virus hasn't vanished.

Michigan reports a total of 2,105 case for Tuesday and Wednesday, for a daily average of 1,054. There were 233 deaths recorded for the two-day stretch.
Meanwhile, hospitalizations have decreased in the last few weeks, the lowest since the summer.
Health department figures released Wednesday were higher than the daily average of 620 cases for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. There were 26 deaths during that three-day stretch. The recent numbers pale in comparison to the 20,000 daily Covid cases a short time ago.
To date, the state has recorded 2,058,856 Covid cases and 32,050 deaths.
