Rep. Justin Amash
Michigan GOP Congressman Amash has been a harsh critic of President Trump since January

Rep. Justin Amash
Now, he expresses openness to impeachment if it's confirmed that the president tried to derail a probe into former national security adviser Mike Flynn, according to Alice Ollstein of Talking Points Memo, a politics news site
“If the allegations are true, yes. But everybody in this country gets a fair trial, including the president, " says the 37-year-old West Michigan representative.
He adds that he trusts FBI Director James Comey more than Trump.
Amash is the first Republican to join a growing chorus of Democrats who suggest. Trump may be guilty of an impeachable offense -- something the full House would vote on after hearings, if the issue reaches that stage.
On Wednesday, he declined to comment on his remarks when pressed by Kristen Welker of NBC News.
The Michigan Congressman's stance is reported by The New York Times in a Wednesday afternoon "Comey Memo Fallout" roundup.
On Tuesday, the fourth-term House member tweeted:
The allegations reportedly contained in the memo are incredibly serious. Mr. Comey also needs to testify in open session ASAP. https://t.co/OjZIvpRsxm
