Michigan Trooper on Motorcycle Dies After Being Struck

State Police Trooper Chad Wolf, who was struck and dragged several miles along I-75 on Friday morning in northern Oakland County while on motorcycle patrol, has died, station WLNS reports.

State police Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue told reports that a 72-year-old motorist from Waterford was changing lanes and attempting to exit the freeway in Springfield Township when Wolf’s motorcycle was hit, the station reported. 

The driver eventually pulled over, the station reported, and noted that the driver is cooperating with authorities.

Trooper Wolf, a 38-year-old married father of four, initially was hospitalized in critical condition.
