Midtown Detroit can always use more markets that peddle fresh fruits and vegetables. Now comes Seasons Market at 4125 Second Ave.
"It was founded with the belief that access to high-quality food is critical to the well-being of a neighborhood," post the owners, who also operate the adjacent El Moore apartments/hotel and the nearby Green Garage co-working space.
Metro Times describes the shop, which opened this month, as "a cross between a farmer’s market, supermarket, coffee shop and bar."
The “Farmer’s Stand” area of the store focuses primarily on fresh, seasonal produce from local producers while the rest of the shop sells typical everyday staples.
Seasons Market also features products and pre-made meals from local faves like Avalon Breads, Detroit Vegan Soul and Yum Village.
It's open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except Tuesday. Curbside parking is available along Second Avenue and West Alexandrine Street.
