With the explosion of new businesses in Detroit comes the downside: failure.
Designer cake shop Cake Ambition at 4154 3rd Street in Detroit's Midtown closed last week, a year and a half after opening, reports Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit:
Founder Jessica Bouren declined to provide details on the reasons for the closure, but was adamant that all customers with cake orders would be contacted and their orders would be filled on time. Bouren is known for her whimsical cake designs shaped like boots, cowboy hats, and even a mini version of the Forest Arms building.
