Mike Babcock
If you hope Mike Babcock doesn't defect to coach elsewhere, this isn't good news.
The Associated Press reports that while no deal is done, Babcock negotiated Tuesday with the Buffalo Sabres.
That report, if true, doesn't bode well for his future in Detroit.
Babcock declined comment after meeting with the Sabres' owner, AP says.
The coach also conferred Tuesday with Wings general manager Ken Holland, Ansar Kahn reports at MLive, and is expected to give his decision Wednesday.
