Mike Duggan is leading in the latest for poll in the Detroit mayoral race.
With three months to go before the primary, the Detroit Free Press reports that Duggan had a lead of 34.8 percent of the likely voters, compared to Napoleon with 27.4 percent. Mayor Dave Bing, who has yet to declare whether he’ll seek a second term, had 11 percent, according to automated phone poll by Target-Insyght and the Lansing Newsletter MIRS.
Former top Detroit city attorney Krystal Crittendon was fourth at 7.3%, followed by a tie for fifth between former state Rep. Lisa Howze and four-time mayoral candidate Tom Barrow at 4.7%, the Free Press reported.
A recent poll had Napoleon in the lead.
“We’re pleased to see that Mike is back in the lead,” Duggan spokesman Bryan Barnhill said, according to the Freep.
