A Macomb County jury didn't buy Donna Scrivo's story that a masked man killed her adult son, Ray Scrivo, and dismembered him in his St. Clair Shores condo.
In fact, the jury deliberated less than two hours before deciding Monday that Scrivo, a 61-year-old registered nurse, was guilty of first-degree premeditated murder and related charges in the January 2014 slaying of her son, Christina Hall of the Detroit Free Press reports.
She is to set to be sentenced June 23 to mandatory life in prison without parole.
She was accused of dismembering his body with a power saw and later dumping his remains in bags across rural St. Clair County, the Freep reported.
