Moo Cluck Moo, the all-natural fast food joint which gained attention for paying a livable wage of $15 an hour, has closed its original location in Dearborn Heights, The Detroit News. It closed its other location earlier this fall.
After initially paying $15 an hour, the wage fell to starting pay of $12 an hour, but workers could still eventually make $15 or $16 an hour, Hometown Life reported in October.
The business now will operate out of a food truck.
Co-owner Harry Moorhouse said he and partner Brian Parker closed both brick-and-mortar spots because the leases were up at both locations, and he sees mobile kitchens as “a big part of the future for our business," Berenna Houck of Eater Detroit reports. Moo Cluck Moo also has an outlet at Ford Field.
