Amateur filmmaker Ehsan Hamtaei has put together more than eight hours of time lapse video in Midtown Detroit and created a short -- 1 minute, 48 seconds -- entitled "Detroit's."
Hamtaei, is biomedical engineer who lives in Detroit. He says the video is the first in a series.
"I've always had the passion of film making as a hobby but never got to make something serious" before, he tells Deadline Detroit via email.
"This project is really the intersection of two of my passions: film making and Detroit (plus my taste of music). I wanted to show the upside of Detroit and the life of ordinary people in the city. My goal is to keep making new episodes . . . until I show all the things I love about this city."
