Well, Steve Neavling of the Motor City Muckraker reminds us of some of these architectural gems with a collection of photos he has posted on his website.

Some of the churches include the Cathedral Church of St. Paul at 4800 Woodard; Metropolitan United Methodist Church at 8000 Woodward and First Presbyterian Church at 2930 Woodward.

He also lists two former synagogues, Temple Beth-El (now the Bonstelle Theatre) at 3424 Woodward and Temple Beth-El (now Lighthouse Cathedral) at 8801 Woodward.
