Update: 3:40 p.m. Friday -- MSU Basketball Coach Tom Izzo issued a statement: “We are aware of the report in Yahoo! Sports. While we will cooperate with any and all investigations, we have no reason to believe that I, any member of our staff or student-athlete did anything in violation of NCAA rules.”

It's not a lot of money. Nonetheless, it's creating some sizzling headlines.
The parents of Michigan State University basketball player Miles Bridges received at least $470 from the associate of a sports agent, according to FBI documents included in a story by Yahoo Sports, Matt Charboneau of the Detroit News reports.
NCAA rules say “parents may not be given benefits, gifts, or discounts by institutions, other parents, or other representatives of Athletics Interest.”
Yahoo's report includes several documents of the more than hundreds it said it has reviewed from an FBI investigation into the potential corruption involved with college basketball, the News reports. The documents show the expenses of former NBA agent Andy Miller, the founder of ASM Sports, and his former associate, Christian Dawkins.
Dawkins, who hails from Saginaw, faces three federal charges of wire fraud and one count of money-laundering conspiracy.
Expense reports, according to Yahoo, shows Dawkins spent $70.05 on lunch with Bridges’ parents in 2016 and then made an ATM withdrawal for $400 as an advance to Bridges’ mother.
