A former Rockwood police officer was arraigned Tuesday on sexual assault charges involving a prisoner.

Christian Zieminski, 33, of Rockwood faces counts of second- and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and misconduct in office. The incident with the prisoner occurred June 12, but the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office would not release any other details.

Zieminski was given a personal bond of $20,000. A preliminary examination was set for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in 33rd District Court.
