Talk of the Pistons moving to Detroit floats to the surface from time to time. It's popping up again.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is town and will discuss options about moving to Detroit with Pistons owner Tom Gores, Rod Beard reports at The Detroit News' website.
“The league doesn’t have a position on that," Silver said of a move to Detroit, according to The News. "In fact, it’s one of the reasons I’m here today, to talk more to Tom Gores about the discussions he’s been having.
"I’m very close to Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cavaliers, who has been a vital part of the revitalization of downtown Detroit. Ultimately, that’s a decision for ownership of this team. But to me, I need to learn more about the opportunity.”
