Trudi Daniels is moving "about 40 yards and across the hall" after 22 years at WRIF.

Ken (K.C.) Calvert is about to stop working solo in his 5-9 a.m. drive time gig at classic rocker WCSX. Tom Greenwood sets the stage at The Detroit News:

Detroit radio personality Trudi Daniels has been named as the new morning co-host with iconic radio jock Ken “K.C.” Calvert, the “Casual One.”

While the slot is new, Daniels is hardly new to Metro Detroit listeners, having spent the past 22 years as a news personality on Greater Media Detroit’s WRIF-FM (101).

That company owns both stations, leading Daniels to quip that she's "going for the record for shortest radio move — about 40 yards and across the hall."

At 'RIF, her most recent job was news director news director on the popular "Drew and Mike" morning show. They were canned two weeks ago.
