Update: Thursday, 4:20 p.m. -- Bond was set for $2 million for Robert Messer, according to the Detroit Free Press.
The creepy factor in this case is pretty high.
Robert Messer, 37, (pictured) of Northville was arraigned in 35th District Court in Plymouth on Thursday on charges relating to him running off with a 15-year-old girl, WWJ reports. He was a friend of a family (not anymore).
He faces charges of one count of criminal sexual conduct – first degree, three counts of criminal sexual conduct — third degree, and one count of accosting a minor for immoral purposes, WWJ reports.
WWJ writes on its website:
Lisa Schwartz said her daughter, Emily Lalinsky, took off with Messer, a family friend, on Sunday – and both left notes behind saying they love one another. The notes said “they’re in love, they’re sorry that it worked out this way, nobody can do anything to change it,” Schwartz told WWJ Newsradio 950. Both left their cell phones behind and neither was thought to have any money. -- Allan Lengel
