
Justin Verlander, who showed a lot of promise and enthusiasm during spring training, has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, WDIV says.
It's his first time on that status during his 10-year career.
The Tigers call up pitcher Kyle Lobstein from Triple-A Toledo to replace him on the roster, WDIV says.
A CBS Detroit sports reporter adds this on Twitter:
