Voters on Tuesday gave the nod to a ballot measure to decriminalize small amounts of marijuana, the Detroit Free Press reports.
The measure would allow the use, possession or transfer of less than 1 ounce of marijuana on private property. Under the proposal you have to be 21.
And in Novi, 52-1 District Judge Brian MacKenzie, who had come under attack by the Oakland County Prosecutor for the way he handled domestic abuse cases, was defeated by Walled Lake attorney Travis Reeds, the Detroit News reported. (Update: Travis got 38% of the vote. MacKenzie got 36%).
