Of all the odd, very temporary jobs out there, this one is up there as being pretty cool.

Tom Greenwood of the Detroit News reports the Parade Co. is looking for volunteers to drive a float in the Thanksgiving Day parade in downtown Detroit.

"Anyone chosen will have to attend our float driving school, which lasts about three hours," said parade spokesman Steve Abood said. "Anyone who has ever driven a truck would know how to handle a float, but if not, we can teach you. The first float driving class is slated for Oct. 20."

People interested should apply at volunteers@theparade.org. For more information you can call the Parade Co. at (313) 923-7400.
