The familiar neon signs that spells out "Tiger Stadium" is now a part of the Detrit Historical Museum on Woodward Avenue.
The sign, which features white neon tubing inside blue letters, hangs across a high window in the museum's new Allesee Gallery of Culture, the Detroit News reports.
The Tiger Stadium sign first went up in 1961, when the Briggs family sold the team, and the stadium name was officially changed from "Briggs" to "Tiger." The Tigers last played in the old park at Michigan Avenue and Trumbull in 1999.
The museum acquired the letters shortly before the old stadium's demolition in 2009, says museum spokesman Bob Sadler.
