The Boston-Edison district of Detroit, one of the city's west side neighborhoods that has begun rebounding in recent years, was the scene of a drive-by shooting Thursday evening that killed a man, 27, and wounded a woman, 19, Fox 2 reports.

The man and woman were in a van with two young children around 7:10  p.m. when a Chevy Impala with a silver strip up at Rosa Parks Blvd. and Glynn Court and and someone opened fire, the station reports.  The children, under the age of 7, were not shot.
