This week on One Round, Darrell gets in the ring with Bill Seikaly, an attorney building a case against former Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh. Pugh is accused of sending inappropriate text messages to a young boy he was mentoring, buying him gifts and allegedly grabbing him in an inappropriate place.
In this round (and a bonus round!), the two discuss what Pugh is accused of, where school officials went wrong, and where oh where might Pugh actually be. Seikaly says that the school board had concerns about Pugh being a mentor.
"I think that the public would be truly disgusted," by Pugh's text messages, Seikaly says. "I've read most of the text messages involving the former mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. They're worse."
