Who hasn't felt the pack-and-go frenzy of starting a trip? But who doesn't pause to unpack a firearm stashed in a carry-on?
Former Detroit Deputy Mayor Anthony Adams, that's who.
Adams, an attorney who is also the former school board president and has a concealed weapon permit, missed a flight with his wife to a nephew's confirmation because he was arrested at the security checkpoint Thursday for carrying a gun, Amy Lange of Fox2 spoke with the forgetful flier:
"I just simply forgot that it was in my computer bag. I was rushing to catch a flight. I got to the airport late, and rush, rush, rush, rush," Adams said.
"Don't be in a rush trying to get to the airport to catch a flight. You miss that flight, there will be another plane."
Adams says he certainly can't fault security for doing their job. "I'll pay my fines and keep moving,"
The couple reached their family gathering Friday.
