Ugggh.

I ate cheese and crackers and chocolates and whatever else was in my path. I popped a Rolaid. And kept trying to talk myself into changing the channel with no luck.

Then at the end of 19 innings, it was all over. Toronto topped Detroit 6-5 after a bases-loaded hit.

I wasn't mad. I wasn't even that disappointed. Detroit put up a battle. Granted, the team blew some grand opportunities to score. But so did Toronto. It was an exciting game.

Sure, Detroit blew a 5-0 lead during the game.  Wasn't too happy with that.

And I groaned when they brought in reliever Al Albuquerque in the 7th. I assumed that was it.

I vented on Facebook.

"7th inning and tigers are bringing in one bad reliever after another. Here comes al Albuquerque."

But Albuquerque pitched great.

Then the game went on and on.  And the relievers kept us hanging in.

In the end, the Tigers had to dip into their starting rotation. I thought that was exciting. Rick Porcello did well for a while. But in the last inning, it all started to all apart. With bases loaded, Toronto's Jose Bautista smacked one to right field.

That was it.

Kanas City won on Sunday. The Tigers are only a 1/2 game ahead of the Royals.

We've got us a pennant race.

It may be good. Maybe the Tigers need some pressure.

Let's see what the Tigers are really made of.
