Betsy DeVos: "Resist." (Photo: Facebook)
President Trump looks to be preparing for a future as president-in-exile, readying supporters to carry his mantle when he leaves the White House in January. Is Betsy DeVos trying to pull off the same thing?
The Education Secretary has reportedly issued a battle cry of sorts as she heads for the exit, telling the bureaucrats who will stay on under a Biden administration to "be the resistance." That's according to Politico, which obtained a recording of her comments.
“Let me leave you with this plea: Resist,” DeVos said. “Be the resistance against forces that will derail you from doing what’s right for students. In everything you do, please put students first — always.”
DeVos is a school-choice proponent who has advocated for putting public dollars toward even religious schools.
