Former Rhode Island Congressman Patrick Kennedy, the youngest son of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, is telling Michiganians-- via a robocall -- to vote no on a ballot initiative to legalize recreational marijuana because it allows "potency levels of up to 99 percent," Metro Times reports.

Kennedy served in Congress from 1995 to 2011, and has spoken out about his long struggle with bipolar disorder and drug addiction.

The call is funded by Michigan anti-pot group Healthy and Productive Michigan. Kennedy is co-founder of the anti-pot group Smart Approaches to Marijuana, which has been called "Legal weed's #1 opponent" by the Daily Beast, writes Violet Ikonomova of Metro Times.

But could there some misleading info in Kennedy's message?

Ikonomova writes:

Weed cannot have up to "99 percent potency." Good weed typically is made of about 20 percent THC.
