The fallout from the Jerry Sandusky-Penn State child sex scandal is reaching the banks of the Detroit River.

Automotive news reports that General Motors is re-evaluating its sponsorship of the university in wake of the scandal.

The re-evaluation comes after ex-FBI Director Louis Freeh issued a harsh report saying that the university officials, including legendary coach Joe Paterno, covered up Sandusky's predatory behavior for years. The NCAA fined the school $60 million and banned it from playing in bowl games for four years.

Sandusky, 68, was convicted of 45 counts of sexual abuse and is likely to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
