The Plymouth Whalers, a junior hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League, is being sold and will move from Plymouth to Flint next season.
George Sipple of the Detroit Free Press reports that Pete Karmanos Jr., the founder and former CEO of Compuware, called the pending sale of his Plymouth Whalers a "bittersweet moment" during a news conference this morning at Compuware Arena .
The Freep reports that the team is being sold to IMS Hockey Corporation, pending league approval.
Terms of the agreement weren't immediately released.
Compuware was the original investor in Deadline Detroit.
