Former Detroit Tigers General Manager Dave Dombrowski has been hired to head up the Philadelpia Phillies organzation, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Dombrowski served as the general manager of the Tiger from 2002 until 2015 when owner Mike Ilitch fired him. He went on to run the Boston Red Sox until he was fired in September 2019.

The 64-year-old inherits a roster that features star slugger Bryce Harper and right-handers Aaron Nola and Zack Wheeler.
