Working on new  Fox Theatre sign.

Within a few blocks around Comerica Park in downtown Detroit, things are bustling Wednesday.

Construction machinery was churning on Woodward Avenue, with hard-hat workers going at it, working on the M-1 RAIL and the new hockey arena.

A little bit north, across from the street from Comerica, crews were working away on new signage for the Fox Theatre.  On the other side of the street, vendors were setting up for the Rolling Stones concert for tonight.

We snapped the activity.

Progress is moving along for the new hockey arena.

The machinery for M1 RAIL is grinding all day.

The Fox Theatre will have a grander sign when this is all done.

You can't be afraid of heights to do this work.

Yes, concert tickets aren't cheap. Neither is the merchandise.

Who would have thought of setting up a produce stand outside a Stones' concert?

Further down Woodward, more M-1 RAIL construction.
