Downtown was aglow Friday night as thousands of people gathered to watch the Christmas tree in Campus Martius Park light up. The 60-foot-tree weights over 10,000 pounds and is adorned with 19,000 little lights to make it dance.

There's way more to do that look at pretty lights, though. The ice rink is open daily and nightly for the season.
