The upside of city contractor Bobby Ferguson's life is that he had a lot of cash on hand and some pretty cool shoes and threads.

The downside: He's serving 21 years in prison after being convicted last year on multiple counts of public corruption, along with co-defendant Kwame Kilpatrick.

Robert Snell of The Detroit News has obtained government photos of some of his belongings that were presented in court during the lengthy trial in U.S. District Court in downtown Detroit.

The photos show more than $1.2 million in cash and checks seized during four raids in 2009-10, a  long gun and a handgun, clothes and two pair of very very cool cowboy boots, one of which had hidden cashier's checks.-- A.L.
