The Detroit Pistons played tough Sunday night at the Palace, leading at times against Cleveland, one of the NBA's best teams.
But in the end the Pistons lost 100-98. Cleveland sweeps the series 4-0.
From the start of the series, commentators said there was no room for error for the Pistons when going up against LeBron James and his teammates. And it was not only James who shined. There was Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and J.R. Smith.
Perhaps what made it a little more painful for Detroit sports fans was seeing two Cleveland teams dominate the Detroit teams this weekend.
Over the weekend, the Cleveland Indians swept the listless Tigers in a three-game series.
Hopefully this is the start of an upward climb for Pistons in the seasons to come.
In this case, Cleveland was clearly the better team.
The Pistons played with spirit in the series. Sometime that's just not enough.
