Pistons Hire Jeff Bower as General Manager

PIstons Coach Stan Van Gundy is getting some help.

The Pistons have hired Jeff Bower, the former general manager of the New Orleans Pelicans, as the general manager, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Bower spent last year as the head coach at Marist College following several years as a scout for the league office and several NBA teams, Yahoo! reports.

He was the general manager of the New Orleans Pelicans from 2005-2010.
