Pistons Owner to Coach Lawrence Frank: Bye Bye

As Donald Trump would say: "Ya Fired!"

Yes, the day after the Detroit Pistons finished up the season, coach Lawrence Frank was fired, according to ESPN

“We thank Lawrence for his hard work and dedication, but we feel it is in the best interest of the franchise to make a change at this time,” president of basketball operations Joe Dumars said in a released statement. “Decisions like this are never easy and we wish Lawrence well in the future.”

The move came as no surprise.

ESPN.com reported two weeks ago that Frank was the most likely coach in the league to be ousted.

Frank was  54-94 for two seasons.

Team owner Tom Gores expressed little support for Frank when asked about him the other day.
