New hockey arena

The Detroit Pistons are in serious talks with the Ilitch family about building a 60,000-square-foot practice facility north of Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit and moving to the city from Auburn Hills, Crain's Detroit Business reports.
Details such as specific location, time frame and cost are yet to be determined, writes Bill Shea and Kirk Pinho of Crain's. The hockey arena is scheduled to open in September 2017.
The Pistons are the only one of Detroit's four major pro teams playing outside the city.
Crain's reports:
With construction of Little Caesars Arena entering its final year, the pace of discussions could quicken. Full-scale negotiations will have to sort out revenue splits, timing, suite leases, how the arena would reflect it being the Pistons home and not just a Red Wings arena, and hundreds of other details.
