It's NoJo (no joke) -- SoCo is right here in our midst. A developer says so and a business publication swallows it.

We try to keep up, but that's a new one to us, too. We were flummoxed until paragraph three, where King explains project partner Michael Chetcuti's shorthand:

“We see the SoCo District (southern Corktown) as an up-and-coming area that will draw artists, designers, and creative people.” 

Ah yes, of course -- if other neighborhood re-branders can try Corktown Shores and NoHam, why not our version of  SoHo and NoHo?

Hey, let's not stop there. How about G-Town for Greektown or BoEd for Boston-Edison?
