Not exactly the holiday cheer you'd expect on Christmas day.
The New Destiny Christian Fellowship Church on Grand River on Detroit's west side received a hateful voicemail on Christmas morning from someone with a 734 area code who said he wished the church would be fire-bombed, reports Fox 2's Hannah Saunders. They used the n-word and appeared to be upset that the church was asking for money.
Fox 2 reports that Detroit Police are investigating the matter.
The Rev. Horace Sheffield III said he received the message at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday on a phone line used to request prayers from him and the other ministers, reports the Detroit News.
