Despite the high expectations of the Spartans for the new season, Ohio State is expected to win the Big 10 East and the Big Ten Championship game, according to a poll of sports writes conducted by Cleveland.com.
Michigan State was ranked #2 in the poll, and the University of Michigan, #4.
More than 60 voters from around the league, a cross-section of writers covering each team as well as several who cover the overall conference, were invited to vote this season, Cleveland.com reports.
Penn State was picked third.
