The Poor People's Campaign of Michigan blocked the QLine track in downtown Detroit for about two hours Monday as part of a national protest for fundamental human rights, Jerilyn Jordan of Metro Times reports.

The group is addressing access to clean water and the recent separation of immigrant families by U.S. Immigation and Cusdtoims Enforcement.

Protesters stood on the tracks on Woodward Avenue at Campus Martius, interrupting service from about 3:30 to 5:30 p.m in the southern most stations -- Congrss, Campus Martius, Grand Circus and Montcalm, QLine representative Dan Lijana tells Deadline Detroit.

Detroit Police made arrests.
