Detroit keeps getting pricier, particularly in Midtown, downtown and Corktown.
Pre-sales begin this week for a six-story, 53-unit development at Cass Avenue and York Street in Midtown’s New Amsterdam Historic District, also known as TechTown, reports Candice Williams of The Detroit News. Construction is expected to be complete in the spring of 2020. The building is called Cass & York.
Sizes will range from studios to three bedrooms, with an average of 1,422 square feet. Unit pricing is expected to begin at $430 per square foot. That works out to $600,000-plus on average.
The Platform open a sales gallery Friday in the Fisher Building.
The neighborhood includes Henry Ford Health System, Wayne State University, Junction 440 Co-Working Community, Next Energy and Shinola, as well as the future Pistons Performance Center and Henry Ford Health Systems Center for Athletic Medicine.
