President Obama is expected to give a shout out during his State of the Union address Tuesday night to a Metro Detroit woman.

He invited Tiairris Woodward, 43, of Warren to attend the 9 p.m. speech, David Shephardson reports in The Detroit News. Obama is expected to highlight the $85-billion auto industry rescue.

Woodward, who will sit in Michelle Obama’s box during the televised event, works at the Jefferson North Assembly plant in Detroit that produces the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The president in 2010 visited the east-side plant, considered one of the most productive U.S. car factories.
