There were some sparks flying in the Bob Bashara trial on Wednesday in Wayne County Circuit Court.

An assistant Wayne County Prosecutor, during questioning of a cop, harshly criticized the investigation into Jane Bashara's slaying, insisting Grosse Pointe Park police blew off deadlines, failed to complete tasks and ignored her advice, seeking a male's opinion instead, according to George Hunter of The Detroit News.

Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Lisa Lindsey hammered Grosse Pointe Park Public Safety detective Michael Narduzzi, who spent 54 minutes on the witness stand Wednesday.

Lindsey said Narduzzi's department was uncooperative and incompetent while handling the investigation into the slaying of Jane Bashara, whose husband, Robert, is on trial accused of paying his handyman to kill her.
