The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office today charged three people in connection with a fight and shootout aboard the Detroit Princess riverboat last month.
Latoiya Mitchell-Thomas, 28, and her husband Michael Thomas, 32 , of Roseville were involved in an argument with another passenger, prosecutors said in a news release, the Free Press reports. Thomas is accused of slapping the woman on her face and throwing a bottle at her head. He was charged with felonious assault and assault and battery, prosecutors said.
Mitchell-Thomas is accused of subsequently firing a handgun into a crowd, wounding several people.
LaDon Richard, 45, of Detroit is accused of shooting Michael Thomas in the back as he sat in the passengers seat, prosecutors said.
